Panasonic SF4D-F111-01 is a sensor (array) designed for compact and robust finger-protection with intrinsic safety features, achieving safety levels of PL e / SIL3. It includes an interference prevention function, external device monitoring capability compatible with 8-core / 12-core cables, an interlock function with options for manual or auto reset, and an override function available with a 12-core cable. The housing is made of aluminium, while the sensing surface is constructed from polycarbonate resin and stainless steel SUS304, with nylon used for the upper and lower cap. This sensor is pre-equipped with a connector for ease of connection and operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C. It boasts a degree of protection rated at IP67. The net height, indicating the protective height, is 1110 mm. It features 2 x digital outputs (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA) for safety outputs OSSD1+OSSD2, and 1 x digital output (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 100mA). The sensing distance ranges from 20cm to 7m (200mm-7000mm) in long mode and 80cm to 12m (0.656-22.966ft) in long mode, with a detectable object size of 14mm (0.551"). The current consumption is 120mA / 0.12 A for the emitter and 170mA / 0.17 A for the receiver. It utilizes infrared (IR) light with a wavelength of 850 nm.
