Panasonic SF2B-H16-P is a sensor array designed for hand-protection with an intrinsically safe, safety light curtain sensor feature. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55 °C and offers a degree of protection rated at IP65. The sensor is constructed from polycarbonate for the inner case, aluminium for the housing, PBT for the cap, and die-cast zinc alloy for the upper and lower edges, ensuring durability. It comes pre-equipped with a connector for ease of installation. The SF2B-H16-P features two digital outputs (PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA) for safety outputs OSSD1+OSSD2, and it has a protective height of 312 mm. Its sensing distance ranges from 0.2m to 13m, with a current consumption of 40mA (0.04 A) for the emitter and 60mA (0.06 A) for the receiver. The light color is infrared (IR) with a wavelength of 870 nm, and it can detect objects as small as 27mm. The response time is 40-60ms for ON and 15ms for OFF. Additionally, it includes functions such as interference prevention, auxiliary output protection circuit, emission halt function, and external device monitoring.
